 that's the first time I start and actually finish a series! XDDD

Set of 4 bookmarks with orient-inspired incarnations of the 4 elements. In the reading sense: earth, wind, water, fire.
This is a personal interpretation, of course.

Watercolors, acrylic markers, gel pens.

Responsibility. Movement.
Thought. Caring.

That's what these four pictures look like to me. :)

: ) I ma happy when people give a personal interpretation of what I draw.

Mine was petty similar to yours, but for the last one. it's inspired to theatral masks, the girl is an actress, so fire is wild creativity, passion, beauty, but also a tricky thing.

Yes I see what you're saying. I was thinking the same sort of thing. I thought of it as someone who cares most about how beautiful things are around them, and is at peace only when they are in a very well cared environment. When I was thinking of the word to describe the picture, I was really stuck. So in the end I just put all of my thoughts together and the word I chose was caring.

What are your thoughts on this? :)

I told you already what I was thinking while drawing it.
Nevertheless, your opinion is ok too, I mean: it's what you felt.

i love this sooo much. it's great how you interpreted the mongolian, manchu, miao, and han into the four elements ^^v

Ahha good guess! ; )
the last one is actually more inspired to beijing opera's masks more than to actual han clothes...btw I am glad you liked and you recognized all of them!

Bellissimi! Colori perfetti e dettagli pazzeschi.
