I am reopening commissions on sunday the 25th at about lunchtime in Italy.
I tell in advance because of timezones, and because this way you can prepare your description
What do you need:
- A description (send it via e-mail!)
The more complete, the better. When a colored picture of the character(s) is not available, please be sure to point out all the helpful details; in case you're not sure about what can\cannot be relevant, you can use this form as inspiration. If there is more than one character in the picture please tell me how do they feel towards eachother (for body language) and what should be going on. Googled references as background inspiration are very welcome!
- A paypal account (of course!)
I use the payment request method, this means I'll need to know the mail address connceted to your paypal, you'll get a paypal mail with the instructions to accept.
You can ignore the request of course, but slots will be assigned in order of received payment.
- Some patience
Everyone is different; personally I work very hard to try to get my own style in anatomy composition palette etc. if you want something realistic or another person's style, or a remake of an exhisting picture or a sketch of yours, then maybe I am not the best person you can commission. So I am open to unusual themes, but the style will be simlar to the other pictures in my gallery. Welcome references photos for poses, but only when I am allowed a free interpreation of them.
What do I offer:
- Two possible layouts
Once I have a complete description and you have accepted the payment request you'll get two possible colored layouts. I think palette is as important as poses and compositions, so better to have everything clear since the beginning. Of course they are just for start, we can make all the editings you want on the layouts!
- A second step, providing the finsihed lineart and some colors.
I think this is more useful than lineart or lineart+flat colors steps. If the description was complete, normally there won't be huge changes in the drawing; besides I work my flats and shadows at the same time to have more control on the final effect, so why hiding the shadows?
- A final, fullres file.
Normally after the second step is approved, the editings to do are quite small. Size depending on the format. I tend to draw as if everything I do is to be printed so usually my colors are relatively light and the resolution very high if you print the original size.
Mhmh I think that's all! I leave you with the pricelist. For any related question please contact me at doodlingraka(at)gmail(dot)com .
(I am active on several platforms so mails are the best way to communicate)
Remember, I'll open on saturday, this means I cannot handle your commissions yet!
